Good advice starts with thorough knowledge and experience about what works and what doesn’t. For this reason, Esther recently carried out a month long market research project in Silicon Valley in the United States. Among other things, she talked to colleagues there about their passion for company-volunteer work.
Esther possesses a great deal of experience and has been advising numerous recognised companies on socially responsible entrepreneurship. For example, she advised on determining policy and starting points and paved the way for implementing the Committed Entrepreneurship and Employee Volunteer Programmes for among others Salesforce.com, IAK, DLL, ASML.
Volunteerweek
How do we give shape to our social commitment, whilst at the same time and in a creative way get to know our colleagues from different departments better?
Esther organised a Volunteer Week in collaboration with HR departments of various companies. Prior to the week, an inventory was drawn up of employees’ wishes, and helped generate enthusiasm for participation. Meanwhile, suitable social partners were identified, thus creating a week which held something for everyone who participated. The first Volunteer Week was an immediate success and was repeated the following year.
